The Guitar Rack

Clockwise: BRW Singlecut in Natural, BRW Singlecut in Emerald, Santana I in Grey/Black, CE24 in Dark Blue, 10th Anniversary in Teal/Black, Archtop II in Amber, Private Stock #29 in McCarty Burst

1998 PRS Private Stock #29 McCarty

McCarty Sunburst, Brazilian Rosewood neck, silver outlined gold inlay birds and headstock eagle, Big Leaf Quilted Maple, South American Mahogany, McCarty electronics. Comments: I love the feel of McCarty's! And with the Brazilian Rosewood neck, this thing is ABSOLUTELY THE MOST COMFORTABLE GUITAR I OWN!! The Private Stock workmanship and materials are first rate. Its a guitar that I always go back to. 8lbs 7 oz

Back of PS #29

I'm becoming a Rosewood Bigot! Nothing else seems to stack up!

Headstock of PS #29

Paul Reed Smith had this to say about PS #29:

"The gold and silver inlay is the first of its kind and very unique. The woods were carefully picked from my private stock for sound and remarkable figure. The Brazilian rosewood neck gives the guitar a powerful sound and unique feel that is now the benchmark from which I judge all other instruments"

1995 PRS 10th Anniversary

Teal Black flame, semi-hollow, abalone purfling, etched birds, South American Mahogany body and neck, Big Leaf Maple top, Ebony fingerboard. #200 / 200. This is the last 10th Anniversary made (#200/200). 7lbs. 2oz.

2001 PRS BRW Singlecut

Emerald Green 10 Top, Bird Inlays, Brazilian Rosewood neck/fretboard, Stoptail, #11/250. Comments: Tone Monster!! The PRS Singlecuts are becoming a legend for their tone and attack. The Brazilian Rosewood neck adds to the tone, and man, the sustain this thing has! The feel of the neck is worth the price of admission in itself! At 9lbs, 3 ozs, its not for the weak of back, but it is worth every ounce!

Back of BRW Singlecut

Note the electronics cover, #11/250. This BRW neck is much lighter in color than the Private Stock BRW.

1996 PRS Santana I

Grey/Black figured Maple top, Abalone purfling on body, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard on mahogany neck, Santana Zebra pickups, 24 frets on 24.5" scale, 'OM' truss rod cover, PRS Tremelo. 8lbs. 4oz.

1993 PRS CE24

Dark Blue (discontinued color), 24 fret, maple top/alder body, PRS Tremelo. Comments: My very first PRS, bought new in 1993. The CE still provides a hard rock sound that makes it unique (probably the maple neck). The finish on this guitar is Dark Blue, a discontinued (because of fading problems?) color that is still one of the most beautiful finishes I've seen. Very steely blue! 7lbs 14oz

2001 Gibson Les Paul Classic

Goldtop, 1960 tapered neck. 9lbs 2oz

1992 Fender Strat Plus

Brown burst, rosewood fretboard, Fender Gold Lace Sensors. Comments: This guitar was the staple for so many years. You gotta have a Strat. The Lace Sensors, while cutting down on noise, make the tone a bit more civilized, which may not always be a good thing. Still, this guitar is very comfortable and has that identifiable Strat sound. Can't do without it!
